Give Back This Summer: Volunteer or Donate to Support Local Grassroots Organizations

This Christmas in July, the best gift you can give might not be wrapped in shiny paper—but shared through your time, talents, or generosity.

Grassroots organizations across Huron, Lapeer, Sanilac, and Tuscola Counties are doing vital work every day—feeding families, supporting youth, aiding survivors, and building safer, healthier communities. They rely on volunteers and community support to keep moving forward.

Whether you can help in person or want to give from home, your support helps fuel food pantries, shelters, youth programs, crisis response teams, and more. Grassroots organizations run lean, rely on volunteers, and often use wishlists to share the items they most urgently need.

Below are some of the grassroots organizations who are accepting donations or volunteers!
