Employer-Led Collaborative
In partnership with
TCHP has established the Thumb Region Health and Human Service Employer Led Collaborative to provide an opportunity for employers and education partners to collectively address local workforce challenges.
Thumb Region Talent Pipeline
The collaborative includes 24 health and human service employers across the Thumb Region, 14 education partners, and 8 community/state partners (See the full list below). The health and human service sector in the Thumb is facing critical workforce challenges including a lack of training and education programs in the local community, difficulty recruiting students to the rural area upon completion of training, and barriers to training. The ELC is committed to following the Talent Pipeline Management (TPM) six strategies to address its primary purpose of ensuring a robust talent pipeline for critical jobs.
Focus Area
The Thumb HHS ELC goal is to increase workforce stability for health and human service providers in the Thumb by increasing educational opportunities and strengthening the career pipeline so that there is a flow of candidates back to the Thumb Region. The career focus is several high-need occupations that have been identified by employers. Nursing Licensed Master & Bachelor Level Social Workers Medical Lab Technicians and Scientists Community Health Workers Certified Nursing Assistants Radiologist Other careers have been discussed and will be explored with future funding opportunities.
